Skiing in Gastein Skiing Holidays in Salzburg

Ski areas in Gasteinertal

Schlossalm – Angertal- Stubnerkogel

860 - 2300m sea level
Largest connected skiing area. Ski runs with more than 1000 m difference in altitude promise enjoyable piste conditions which are rich in diversity - perfectly networked with modern lifts and cable cars. Ideal for pleasure skiers. For beginners we recommend the Judaulift in the Angertal Ski Centre. Particularly popular: the Hohe Scharte Nord (ski run H 1 in the piste plan) – at 8 km in length and with a 1440 m difference in altitude it is one of the longest runs in the East Alps.

Sportgastein

1590 - 2650 m sea level
Highest lying skiing area. Sportgastein is the place where sporty types are right at home. Skier’s dreams come true in Sportgastein, as long as the snow conditions permit and a there is a carpet of snow left behind - powder and especially neve. Special tip: Ski routes 1 + 2: variants as far as the eye can see. After thousands of metres above sea level, dreamy deep snow and mogul pistes you land in the valley floor of Sportgastein. Please pay attention to the warning signs and the exclusion zones!

Graukogel

1.079 - 2.007 m sea level
With its long, difficult runs Graukogel is a real challenge for top skiers. The main area of the runs is in the forested area and is therefore particularly well protected from the wind and allows good orientation even when visibility is poor. Only one downside: there is no direct lift connection to the other ski areas.

Dorfgastein - Großarltal

850 - 2.003 m sea level
The first ski facilities in the Gasteinertal offers a versatile family friendly offer with varied runs for beginners to experts, the highest level of travel comfort with the most modern cable car and lift facilities and a unique, particularly rustic ski hut atmosphere. With the Gipfelbahn Fulseck lift you can get to the highest point of the Dorfgastein – Großarltal ski facilities by train. From Fulseck you have the most wonderful panoramic view which stretches from the Großglockner right to Dachstein. The best prepared pistes invite you to have a fantastic skiing and snowboarding adventure.
