The Gastein healing caves offer a healing climate which is unique in the world!
Due to its high success rate it is ‘the most effective healing treatment’ in the Gastein Valley. This is attributed to 3 healing factors – the radon content, the air temperature of 37 to 41.5°C and a relative air humidity of 70 to 95 %. A cave train takes you 2.5 km into the interior of the mountain.
The warmth and the high air humidity heats the body to approx. 38°C. This increases the assimilation of the inert gas radon. The cells’ metabolism is stimulated due to its short-term stimulation from the rays.
