Oldtimer Rally in Salzburg
The oldtimer rally ”Salz, Öl & Wasser“ (Salt, Oil & Water) for guests in the Hotel EUROPÄISCHER HOF
Around 80 old-timers were at the start of the "Salz, Öl & Wasser" rally in 2007 again (19.-20.10.07) which goes from the Salzburg exhibition centre and back to Bad Gastein. The Hotel EUROPÄISCHER HOF once again is a worthy setting for the interim stage again. On Friday, 19th October 2007 for the first time the „Badberg-Wertung“, took place starting from the Hotel EUROPÄISCHER HOF to the town landmark in Bad Gastein, the waterfall. From about 8.15 p.m., at minute intervals the fantastic stage coaches met at the Kongressplatz in Bad Gastein. At the exclusive dinner reception in the Hotel EUROPÄISCHER HOF afterwards the who’s who of Oldtimersports were represented. Saturday at 9 a.m. on the dot the engines were stared up for the 2nd run, which took all the participants back to Salzburg.
The "Salz, Öl & Wasser" ralley is an "equal time trial" in both Rally and Sport categories. The winners are the “veterans”, which come closest to the previously covered section. Orientation and navigation are paramount, not speed.
With 144 parking spaces and surrounded by so many magnificent mountain roads the Hotel EUROPÄISCHER HOF is not just perfect for the "Salz, Öl & Wasser" rally but is also the perfect starting point and stage for events of this kind.
