Tobogganing withkids in Gastein Toboggan Run in Gastein Valley

Tobogganing

Tobogganing is fun for big and small. If you want to experience a feeling of speed on a freshly rolled toboggan run, then the concept of "Winter pleasure" gains a new definition.

In the Gasteinertal there are two similar toboggans to choose from

The natural toboggan run of Aeroplanstadel is in an excellent condition. After you’ve taken the lift and a short walk on foot you’re then at the run. This is winter fun for all the family, since tobogganing is not just something for children. During daylight hours and several runs you can spend some unforgettable hours with your family. In the evening during a light-up toboggan run and under a starry sky you should put on some warmer clothing with ski goggles in your luggage to go up the valley.

Another highlight is of course the stop before the start for a cosy "Hüttengaudi". There you’ll definitely enjoy the same winter fun. After a "Schnapserl" and well warmed up, it’s then off and you boom down the lit up 3.3 km natural toboggan run (difference in altitude approx. 450m). This treat is available every Tuesday and Thursday on the natural toboggan run, Aeroplanstadel.

You can get to the toboggan run on one of the most legendary Alpine meadows in the Gasteinertal, the “Bellevue Alm”, by chair lift or on foot. After a hearty "Hüttengaudi" it’s a walk down the lit up toboggan run to the valley station of the Stubnerkogelbahn. On the Bellevue Alm there is also toboggan hire.

As well as being fun and speed, tobogganing is also a "romantic way of moving". Have a romantic time for two with your partner. What could be nicer than tobogganing down the valley together under the starry sky and leaving the snow covered forest behind you.
