Amazing Ski Weekend in Gastein Region – EUROPÄISCHER HOF Bad Gastein We spent two fantastic days on the Gastein slopes, pampered by fresh powder snow. For accommodation, there was no question – we booked EUROPÄISCHER HOF Bad Gastein, as we’ve stayed here three out of four previous visits and absolutely love it! The standout services include: heated ski storage for boots and clothes (separate unheated for skis), billiards and ping-pong tables, wellness pool and sauna, plus high-quality breakfast (and optional dinner). Their flexibility is top-notch: we arrived at 1 AM past check-in, but they welcomed us without issue. A huge thank you to the friendly and helpful staff! Special mention to sauna and wellness master József Németh, whose humor and expertise elevated the experience – post-skiing, we headed straight there to unwind. Thank you, József! Highly recommended to everyone!

My experience here was very good. I came with family and we had a great time having breakfast and dinner together. After skiing during the day, we would go to the spa and our friend Joseph would be very nice to treat us to an amazing sauna experience. Felt super refreshed afterwards. Would 100% recommend

It was my first time in Austria. This hotel made my experience perfect.. the hospitality, the gastronomy, everyone was so friendly. The rooms where perfect with a nice view on the mountains. Great Wellness and Spa

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel, the first was two years ago. now Eric welcomed us very kindly with a welcome drink. the dinner was also great. unfortunately, the restaurant service continued to deteriorate. Long wait, mostly incompetent waiters. I don't really understand, would it be that hard to find suitable staff? you need a competent restaurant manager who has everything in hand and people don't run around aimlessly. during the six days, I asked the cleaners several times not to drive loudly in the corridor with those big containers at eight in the morning, but unfortunately nothing changed. What I liked, however, was the cleanliness of the whole hotel and the nice lady who is the head of the cleaning team and the new manager. in addition to these, the always cheerful sauna master regularly offered varied fruit bowls after the daily hot sauna sessions. The beautiful surroundings still enchanted us.

When it came to dining, the restaurants at Europäischer Hof Aktivhotel & Spa were a delight. The food was of outstanding quality, with each meal showcasing a perfect balance of flavor and presentation. Whether we were enjoying a hearty dinner at their main restaurant or savoring a lighter fare during lunch, every dish felt carefully crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The variety on the menu ensured there was something for everyone in our group, and the attentive waitstaff made dining a pleasure by anticipating our needs and offering excellent pairing suggestions. Breakfast, in particular, was a highlight with its extensive buffet, featuring everything from freshly baked pastries to savory options that catered to a wide range of tastes. However, there is one small suggestion I’d like to offer to make the breakfast experience even more appealing, especially for younger guests. While the buffet was impressive, I noticed the absence of kid-friendly options like pancakes or waffles. Adding one of these beloved breakfast staples, perhaps with a variety of toppings like fresh fruit, whipped cream, or syrup, would be a fantastic way to delight junior guests and make mornings even more exciting for families. It’s a minor critique in an otherwise flawless dining experience, but I believe it could add an extra touch of joy for the little ones. Overall, our stay at Europäischer Hof Aktivhotel & Spa was a memorable one, thanks to the extraordinary attention from the staff and the exceptional quality of food at their restaurants. We left feeling pampered and eager to return, and I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a luxurious and caring hospitality experience.
