The Gastein Valley and its ski resorts are part of the Ski amadé region, offering over 220 km of perfectly groomed slopes for exceptional skiing and snowboarding fun. Boasting one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps – 11 km in length and 1,440 m of elevation difference – the Gastein Valley is a true paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. A public ski bus provides convenient and free transportation (with a valid ski pass) to all ski areas around Bad Gastein and beyond.
The largest combined ski resort in Gastein (860 – 2,300 m in altitude) with descents of more than 1,000 m difference in altitude. Ideal for leisurely skiers. For beginners we recommend the Judalift in the Skizentrum Angertal. The suspension bridge on the Stubnerkogel offers a special kick for hikers and skiers alike.
Skiing in Sportgastein at an altitude of 1,590 to 2,650 meters – the highest ski resort in Ski amadé, located on the edge of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Skiers are delighted by over 24 kilometres of slopes. After 1,000 metres of dream-like powder snow or mogul runs, you will be back in the valley of the Sportgastein. Please pay attention to the warning signs and barriers!
The first ski area in the Gastein valley offers a wide range of family-friendly options with varied routes (850 – 2,033 metres above sea level) for beginners to experts, maximum skiing comfort with state-of-the-art cable car and lift facilities and a particularly rustic ski hut atmosphere.
